The Secret Paradise of Turks and Caicos

Intentionally, yet gently, tucked away in secluded Long Bay Beach lays a secret treasure of such pristine artistry with the magic ability to bring all of your senses into complete and blissful alignment simultaneously. The Shore Club is the perfect luxurious Caribbean getaway.
From the moment I entered the drive lined with tropical foliage, palm trees and a variety of blooms, I felt myself breathing just a little deeper and relaxing just a bit more. I felt the corners of my mouth turning up slightly as I took it all in.
I realize that I am truly in paradise. Greeted by warm smiles and a softly enthusiastic “welcome” in a Caribbean accent while offered lavender scented cool towels to freshen up, I was escorted into the open-air reception area. I couldn’t help but notice every single detail is luxury at its finest.
Upon check-in I was politely offered a delicious, refreshing passion fruit punch as I took a short walk through the lush and perfectly manicured grounds towards my accommodations. The resort is wonderfully spacious with several beautiful pool areas that instantly transport you to your very own Caribbean utopia.
Opening the door to my room instantly brought an enormous smile to my face as I fully realized just how perfectly crafted every detail is. From the personalized greeting on the television to the plate of delicate gourmet chocolates and macaroons to the pillow top mattress, luxurious spa products, lavishly thick towels and perfectly weighted bathrobe gently hung in the closet, you can’t help but know you’ve reached heaven on earth. The view from the balcony reinforces that even further.
Once unpacked and settled in, it’s time to explore the resort.
Breakfast is served in a delightful open-air dining area and has pretty much anything your heart desires. The fruit is perfectly ripened, the juices fresh and chilled, the coffee aromatic and balanced. The food is delicious and pleasing to even the most discerning palate.
There are plenty of activities for the little ones or the option of the adult only pool area. The Colonnade pool area is the perfect gathering place with chair swings gently swaying over the swim out, expertly crafted cocktails including the Reggae Punch or a Goombay Smash as well as a phenomenal Bloody Mary, a variety of craft beers and a lovely wine selection. For food there is a nicely balanced menu from lite bites to sushi or a gourmet burger. Their conch salad is by far one of the best on the island. Covered luxurious cabanas are plentiful and the staff is quick to prepare your area, stocking it with chilled water and fresh towels. After enjoying a snack and a refreshing cocktail, it is the perfect place to drift into a light afternoon nap or take a walk on the beach. Another perfect option is the truly luxurious Dune Spa created to honor all of the elements designed to connect you with nature and all of it’s organic, nurturing qualities.
The staff is wonderfully pleasant, helpful and always checking in to make sure every detail supports a true luxury experience.
Dinner under the stars at SUI-REN is nothing shy of the ultimate experience. The ingenious fusion between Japanese and Peruvian cuisine doesn’t disappoint (that’s a whole blog in and of itself)!
Ending the evening by taking a stroll under the stars back to the room where my bed is turned down, chocolates strategically placed, slippers placed next to the bed and even a small place card with an inspirational quote. Sliding into crisp cool sheets created the perfect finale to a perfect day.
There is no question why Travel & Leisure named The Shore Club as the #1 resort in the Caribbean.
To bring it all together, there isn’t a single detail The Shore Club doesn’t take care of. The smiles, memories and overall feeling of choosing this beautiful resort as the ultimate Caribbean destination will be the vacation I will tell stories about till the end of time.
